Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Senior Category Manager in Battery Storage to lead sourcing, contracting, and RFPs across LV/MV switchgear, transformers, inverters, and EMS rack equipment. You will partner with Engineering, Legal, and Commercial Operations to align terms with contracts and drive supplier performance.

The role reports to EVP Global Supply Chain and requires 5+ years of category management, strong negotiation, and renewable energy experience, with BESS preferred. Hybrid/remote work in the US.

Qualifications

• Proven track record developing category strategies and cost, quality, and risk improvements.
• Experience with LV/MV power distribution components is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, contracting and communication skills.
• Collaboration with Engineering and Product teams on technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive category strategies and plans to achieve cost competitiveness and supply security.
• Lead RFP sourcing, proposals, and contracting for equipment and services.
• Negotiate terms and develop project-specific supplier agreements.
• Support risk assessment and supply chain mitigation for projects.
