Jupiter Power is seeking a Development Director to lead the growth of utility-scale energy storage projects across the U.S. The role oversees permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance projects from early stage through construction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in energy storage or renewables project development.
• Experience leading energy development projects in US wholesale markets (SPP/PJM preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 35% and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advance Jupiter's portfolio of development positions from initial screening through pre-construction.
• Work on projects across the U.S. with scopes from greenfielding to project financing and handoff to construction teams.
• Identify and maintain relationships with landowners, regulators, officials, and experts to advance permits.
• Create and manage project budgets, development plans, and schedules to keep projects on track.
• Develop financial models with the finance team and support pricing and RFP opportunities.
• Negotiate tax agreements, land-use contracts, mitigation settlements and other agreements.
• Support market strategy/execution with leadership in PJM/SPP.
• Master evolving market, transmission, regulatory and competitive dynamics in target markets.
• Outline and manage due diligence for commercial and M&A activities.
• Support internal investment approvals and prepare board materials.
