Job summary

Anthro Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Battery Process Engineer to help develop and deploy a cutting-edge lithium-ion polymer electrolyte. You will work on cell design, production processes, and scalable manufacturing to achieve unmatched safety and performance.

You will lead hands-on experiments, commissioning equipment, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure best-in-class batteries reach production readiness in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant engineering field with 5+ years experience in the battery industry.
• PhD in relevant engineering field with 3+ years experience in the battery industry.
• Familiar with lithium-ion cell design and current cell production technologies.
• Hands-on experience with lithium ion actives slurry mixing and coating methods.
• Comfortable managing complex projects with internal and external stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Leverage fundamentals to advance new battery designs from concept to reality.
• Specify and commission equipment for lithium ion battery production.
• Develop and validate processes for slurry, coating, and cell assembly.
• Build, test, and analyze lithium-ion batteries.
• Share results with internal and external partners using productivity tools.
• Work on-site at Anthro’s lab in Alameda, CA, and travel as needed.
