Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced battery test engineer to support the development life cycle from concept to volume production. You will conduct thermal runaway, electrothermal, PCBA validation and environmental testing, while collaborating with design, test, and integration teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
6+ years hands-on experience developing test equipment for battery packs.
Solid knowledge of electronics and electrical circuit fundamentals.
Familiar with EMI/EMC standards and automotive standards or equivalents.
Experience with hardware development life cycle.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct testing supporting design and development of new battery products.
Perform thermal runaway, electrothermal, PCBA validation and environmental testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and reliability of battery systems.
Work independently and within rapid development programs to meet schedule goals.
