Job summary

Honda is seeking a Battery Management System Engineer to design, integrate, and validate electrical and software components for vehicle battery systems. You will collaborate with the EE&A division and Japanese teams (4MOC) to ensure correct parameter application and robust system performance.

The role requires onsite work with occasional remote workdays, and travel about 10% annually. Strong communication, engineering analysis, and cross-functional skills are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Must have at least an Associate level college degree / diploma in engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Chemical / Control Systems / Mechatronics / Physics / Materials Science or related STEM field; a 4-year Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years relevant automotive industry experience.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).

Responsibilities

• Project and team management: breakdown of concepts, define ECU development plan with leadership.
• Engineering specification design for hardware and software; conduct design reviews.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on prototype or mass production vehicles.
• Testing and verification of ECU specs related to hardware/software and EMC.
• Identify improvements to processes and procedures to increase efficiency.
• Documentation management of concurrent developments and decision matrices.
• Coordinate with suppliers on requirements and schedules.
