Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer for HIL/ SIL simulations focused on battery and high voltage architecture. You will create, integrate and maintain real-time models for plant, sensors, actuators, and controllers, powering BECM and diagnostics testing.

You will coordinate model updates, hardware upgrades and test environments to support new features and SDV2 changes, ensuring benches meet timing and enable early defect detection before vehicle integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in real-time simulation, HIL/SIL testing, and model integration.
• Experience with HIL bench tools and simulating sensors/actuators (voltage, current, temperature).

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, integration, and maintenance of simulation models (plant, sensors/actuators, and controllers).
• Develop and maintain Battery HIL models and benches for BECM, cell balancing, and HV systems.
• Plan model updates, hardware upgrades, and test environments for new features and SDV2 changes.
• Ensure benches meet program timing and enable early defect detection before vehicle integration.
