Job summary

Gotion seeks a senior battery cell design expert to lead the U.S. OEM interface, translating vehicle and pack requirements into cell-level specifications.

You will guide architecture decisions, test strategies, and validation plans across global teams, driving quality and manufacturability from concept to mass production. We expect a Master’s in a related field and 7+ years in lithium-ion cell development, with strong analytical and communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a relevant technical field with strong electrochemistry knowledge.
• Experience in lithium-ion cell development and validation is required.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into cell-level specs and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical interface with U.S. OEM customers on cell design and validation.
• Provide leadership in discussions on architecture, materials, safety, and durability.
• Represent Gotion's design capabilities and roadmap to customers.
• Translate vehicle and pack requirements into cell-level targets and requirements.
• Develop test strategies and analyze data to drive design improvements.
• Lead root-cause investigations and coordinate cross-functional reviews.
