Job summary
Gotion Inc. is seeking a senior battery cell design leader in the United States to interface with OEM customers and drive cell-level design through validation, safety, and manufacturability.
You will translate vehicle and system requirements into cell specifications and guide design trade-offs with cross-functional teams. The role requires deep expertise in lithium-ion cell development, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary discussions across R&D,
Qualifications
- Must have a master's degree in a technical discipline related to electrochemistry or materials science.
- Seven+ years of lithium-ion cell development experience.
- Experience leading a full cell development cycle from concept to mass production.
- Ability to design, execute, and interpret lithium-ion cell performance and aging tests.
- Strong understanding of cell chemistry, materials behavior, and degradation mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical interface for U.S. OEM customers on battery cell design and validation.
- Lead cell design reviews, workshops, and engineering discussions from RFI/RFQ through production launch.
- Develop test methods and validation strategies for cell-level and pack-level performance and safety.
- Analyze test data to identify design risks and propose improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align customer requirements with design specifications.
