Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Senior Batch Programmer to lead development of database applications for Medicaid claims processing on UNIX/Linux platforms. You will design, develop, test and install complex software components and mentor junior team members.

The role offers fully remote work anywhere in the United States, with occasional travel 0-10%. Competitive pay between $90,900 and $129,900, plus benefits and educational assistance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Application Development experience using C, Unix/Linux, and Oracle/SQL Server.
• 2+ years of Medicaid Claims and EDI Processing Systems experience.
• Experience with the Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Application Implementation.

Responsibilities

• Head up technical teams and workstreams as you design, develop, test and install complex database applications software - with server, client and web components.
• Oversee relationships between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements result in flexible, reusable system components.
• Create more satisfied clients by writing highly complex design, coding and testing documentation that yields purpose-built technical products that meet real needs.
• Shine as an SME in the areas of development, domain, application design and database methodologies and best practices.
• Provide clients with technical consulting on highly complex projects by refining existing apps and designing new application modules and components.
• Mentor and guide less experienced application designers.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of Application Development experience using C, Unix/Linux, and Oracle/SQL Server
• 2+ years of Medicaid Claims and EDI Processing Systems experience
• Experience with the Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Application Implementation
• Knowledge of System Integration, OSB, and MFT preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams

The pay range for this position is $90,900.00 - $129,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
