Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Batch Automation Engineer in the United States, based at one of eight regional offices, including Overland Park, KS. The role focuses on designing, configuring, testing, commissioning, and supporting batch control solutions for manufacturing clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer, or Controls Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Minimum six years of controls, automation, electrical troubleshooting, and start-up experience with senior batch automation.
• Hands-on ISA-88 batch concepts, recipe management, procedural control, and design principles.
• Experience with batch or process automation platforms such as Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch, PlantPAx, SIMATIC BATCH, AVEVA/Wonderware, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow safety practices; supervise site-team safety and ensure compliance.
• Mentor others and contribute to continuous improvement of batch automation standards.
• Apply Matrix Project Methodology with emphasis on software development, batch system implementation, testing, commissioning.
• Lead or support project scopes, design concepts, estimates, schedules, and technical assumptions for batch projects.
• Gather field data, review control designs, and develop functional specs, narratives, and test plans.
• Design, configure, and support ISA-88 batch solutions including recipes, phases, and reporting.
• Develop or coordinate DCS/PLC code, HMI graphics, batch interfaces, and historian integration.
• Lead software development, testing, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and post-start-up support.
