Job summary

Matrix Technologies is seeking a Senior Batch Automation Engineer in Maumee, OH. The role focuses on designing, configuring, testing, commissioning, and supporting batch control solutions for diverse manufacturing clients.

You will lead recipe development, integrate DCS/PLC/HMI systems, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across disciplines to ensure reliable, scalable automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer, or Controls Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Minimum six years in controls, automation, electrical troubleshooting, and start-up; senior batch automation experience required.
• Hands-on with batch control concepts, recipe management, procedural control, equipment phases, ISA-88.
• Experience with batch or process automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, AVEVA/Wonderware).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, commission, and support ISA-88 batch solutions.
• Develop batch recipes, phases, and control narratives.
• Lead software development, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate DCS/PLC code, HMI graphics, historian integration, and external interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
