Job summary

Jobot in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex BAS projects across Northern California, coordinating engineering, field operations and project teams to deliver on time and within budget.

You will manage preconstruction through turnover for campuses, data centers and life sciences facilities, mentor junior staff, review drawings and control sequences, and drive procurement, safety and quality across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing HVAC controls, BAS or mechanical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls and BAS design principles.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specs and control drawings.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement and customer communication.
• Proven leadership with ability to mentor technical teams.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Automated Logic (ALC) or similar BAS platforms preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple BAS projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, engineers and end users.
• Develop project estimates, proposals and change orders.
• Coordinate engineering, field technicians, subcontractors and vendors.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, labor, procurement and financial performance.
• Review drawings, specifications and control sequences for accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance through design, installation, commissioning and startup.
• Negotiate subcontract agreements and oversee material purchasing.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to customer expectations.
• Support billing, forecasting, project reporting and contract administration.
• Mentor junior project managers and engineers; promote cross-team collaboration.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and growth.
