Job summary

Mesa is seeking a Senior BAS Network Engineer to own architecture, security, and lifecycle management of Building Automation System networks and supervisory platforms. You will operate at the intersection of building automation, OT, IT, and cybersecurity, providing Tier 3 escalation and mentoring for field teams and vendors.

The role requires hands-on design, review of security-oriented BAS networks, and collaboration with customer IT to align BAS needs with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in building automation, controls integration, BAS networking, or OT.
• Niagara 4 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BAS/industrial protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, SNMP).

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable BAS network architectures for facilities and multi-site portfolios.
• Serve as senior SME for Niagara Supervisors, JACE platforms, migrations, lifecycle management.
• Engineer and troubleshoot BAS communications using BACnet/IP, Modbus, LonWorks, SNMP.
• Diagnose complex issues across BAS networks, servers, databases, and integrations.
• Lead upgrades, migrations, and system stabilizations; support remote access strategies.
