Job summary

Professional Placement Services seeks a Senior Systems Specialist with deep BAS expertise to lead and support projects for high-end commercial clients. This hands-on, leadership-driven role covers system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities include designing and servicing BAS, setting up networks (IP, RS-485), providing technical leadership, reading wiring diagrams, and ensuring documentation and safety. HVAC knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of BAS experience in design, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Experience with BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara AX/N4, Distech, Honeywell Spyder, and Johnson Controls CCT/PCT.
• Familiarity with LonWorks, BACnet, and IP networking.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and service BAS systems.
• Set up and troubleshoot BAS networks (IP, RS-485) and verify I/O.
• Provide technical leadership to the BAS team.
• Read wiring diagrams, mechanical plans, and low-voltage systems.
• Ensure proper documentation, inspections, and safe work practices.
• Assist with project management and client communication.
