Job summary

Jobot in Raleigh, NC seeks a BAS Controls Technician to install, program, commission, and service building automation systems on commercial projects.

The role involves working closely with customers, project teams, and field technicians to deliver high-quality control solutions and to develop robust control programs and graphics. Opportunities for mentorship and ongoing service support are included.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of BAS/HVAC controls experience.
Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and control sequences.
Experience with Tridium Niagara (N4/AX), Distech or similar.
Ability to troubleshoot, program, and commission DDC systems.
Comfortable working directly with customers and in the field.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Install, program, and commission BAS/DDC systems for new construction and retrofit projects.
Troubleshoot and service control systems at customer sites.
Verify system performance and ensure sequences meet project specifications.
Develop and implement control programs, databases, and graphics.
Complete commissioning documentation and maintain accurate as-built records.
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to support project execution.
Provide technical support, training, and follow-up for end users.
Assist HVAC technicians with controls-related issues in the field.
Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team development.
Identify service opportunities and support ongoing customer relationships.
