Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced HVAC Senior Controls Technician in Raleigh, NC to service building automation systems on-site. You will diagnose complex issues, program PLCs and DDC controllers, and mentor other technicians while collaborating with customers and project teams.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning, and documentation to improve building performance. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical program or Associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ service experience.
• Experience servicing electronic and HVAC control systems; able to read electrical schematics and control sequences.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and service of HVAC and building automation systems.
• Diagnose complex control malfunctions using detailed troubleshooting across electronic and digital systems.
• Program/configure control devices such as PLCs, DDC controllers, and VFDs.
• Support retrofits, upgrades, and system enhancements with technical recommendations.
• Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with project managers and customers.
