Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, integration, commissioning, and field implementation of BAS projects across government and military facilities.

This highly technical role requires Niagara N4 programming expertise and extensive field travel nationwide, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems and work closely with project managers, customers, contractors, and field teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Building Automation Systems, HVAC controls, or related.
• 3+ years hands-on BAS integration, programming and commissioning.
• Strong Niagara/Tridium programming experience.
• Knowledge of BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus and TCP/IP networks.
• Able to review drawings and sequences of operation.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% for projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, integrate, and commission BAS/HVAC control systems.
• Develop BAS programming within the Niagara N4 framework.
• Program controllers (Honeywell Spyder/Optimizer, Distech, etc.).
• Create control logic from sequences and specs.
• Review drawings, diagrams, specs, and submittals.
• Assist with design drawings, equipment selections, and planning.
• Support estimating with labor, materials, and schedules.
• Perform startup, checkout, testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot controllers, field devices, and networks.
• Coordinate activities with customers, gov’t reps, and teams.
• Ensure secure BAS network design for government/high-security sites.
• Provide training and develop system documentation.
• Travel to project locations for installation support and commissioning.
