Job summary

FIS in New York City is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to build, operate, and scale the core banking services that power Tier-1 institutions. You will own features from design through production, participate in on-call duties, and ensure reliability of distributed systems.

You will design APIs, data contracts, and event-driven workflows, and you will advance observability, testing, CI/CD, and safe deployment practices in a startup-like, high-autonomy team at the heart of modern banking

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing and building complex distributed systems at scale.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, invariants, and failure modes.
• Experience with on-call and incident response in production.

Responsibilities

• Banking Platform Engineering: Build and evolve capabilities for modern banking products.
• Production Ownership: Own services through lifecycle including on-call and incident response.
• Architecture and Delivery: design for correctness, scalability, maintainability.
