Bci Miami is seeking a Legal Counselor to support the VP Legal Officer in managing legal operations, consolidating credit documentation, and maintaining corporate records for the Miami branch.

The role requires drafting and reviewing routine legal documents, coordinating with U.S. and Chilean counsel, and ensuring compliance while liaising with internal teams and clients. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field required.
• Paralegal certificate or JD preferred.
• 3–5 years of paralegal, legal assistant, or loan documentation experience in banking or corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, and review routine legal and credit documents for Bci Miami Branch under supervision.
• Evaluate corporate authority and signing authority for loan documentation.
• Maintain complete recordkeeping of legal files, credit docs, and governance records.
• Coordinate with outside counsel regarding documents, opinions, and matters.
• Support VP Legal Officer and internal business units with legal inquiries.
