Job summary

Old National Bank seeks an experienced attorney to join its Legal and Government Relations Department in a senior in-house role. You will provide day-to-day legal support across banking operations, regulatory compliance, and treasury matters, serving as a trusted advisor to business teams.

You will review customer-facing agreements, disclosures, and internal policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and risk appetite.

Qualifications

10–15 years of experience in a legal department of a financial institution or law firm serving financial institutions.
Bar admission in Illinois, Indiana or Minnesota or eligibility to practice as in-house counsel in the applicable state.
Ability to apply sound legal analysis and practical business judgment to complex matters.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Provide legal support on general banking and regulatory matters, including branch operations, payments and treasury functions.
Review and draft customer agreements and disclosures to ensure compliance with law and bank policies.
Advise on privacy, data protection and AI and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with risk, compliance and information security to manage legal risks.
Manage outside counsel relationships and internal staff as needed.
