Job summary

The Employment Development Department is seeking an Analyst IV to lead Benefit Accuracy Measurement, Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting (BAMMER) activities and serve as the department's expert for BAM analytical work and improper payment evaluation.

The role requires coordinating with federal partners, providing strategic guidance, and advising management on compliance, risk, and program improvements. Hybrid telework is available with California offices in Sacramento or Anaheim.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of UI program processes and UI benefit claim and payment systems.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe and SharePoint.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
• Experience presenting to management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead BAM analytical activities and improper payment evaluation as the Department's statewide authority.
• Consult with federal partners during BAM peer reviews and program evaluations.
• Provide policy interpretation guidance, risk evaluation, and strategic recommendations.
• Mentor staff and provide advanced technical guidance on BAM practices.
