Job summary

InquisIT LLC seeks a skilled Backup and Storage Systems Administrator to manage enterprise backup, recovery, and storage operations in Washington, DC. The role involves day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of backup platforms and related server infrastructure on-site.

You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain availability, protect data, and support recovery requirements. Strong scripting and security baseline knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems administration experience.
• 2+ years hands-on with enterprise backup & recovery platform.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain enterprise backup platform (Cohesity) and on‑prem/Cloud offsite copy in AWS S3.
• Monitor backups, troubleshoot failures, document exceptions.
• Perform restores for operational, FOIA, and records requests.
• Test restores quarterly including offsite recovery.
• Maintain backup coverage for VMs, AWS workloads, Microsoft 365 and databases.
• Support SAN and NAS storage and patching of backup/storage servers.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers running backup/storage platforms.
• Follow change management and maintain SOPs/runbooks.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell; Python a plus.
• Participate in after-hours or weekend maintenance as needed.
