You will collaborate with legal and compliance teams, manage multiple checks, and maintain confidential records while staying updated on legislation and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in corporate background checks.
• Experience with screening tools, databases and industry platforms.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing background checks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough background checks on job applicants, focusing on employment history, criminal records, education, social media profiles and drug tests.
• Utilize various databases and resources to gather accurate and up-to-date information.
• Establish rapport with colleagues and external contacts, particularly when verifying information with past employers or educational institutions.
• Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analyze findings and identify additional records or information needs as necessary.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying findings clearly in reports
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and company policies.
• Willingness to stay informed about changes in legislation, industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to background check screening.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
