Apple Inc. in Cupertino is recruiting for an Ads Engineering Software Engineer to help build the next generation of Apple Ad systems that preserve privacy, scale, and deliver high performance across global users.

You will work on distributed backend services in a cloud environment, collaborate with Product, Data, and SRE teams, and contribute to low-latency, high-volume architectures supporting advertising across Apple Services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building scalable microservices
• Strong CS fundamentals
• OOP experience in Java or C++
• Cloud experience (AWS or GCP)
• Backend distributed systems expertise
• Public cloud APIs experience
• Microservices design and performance tuning
• Relational and NoSQL datastores
• Kafka, Spark or Flink experience
• Strong problem solving & debugging
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build foundational pieces of next-gen Apple Ad systems
• Implement low latency, highly available, high-volume services in a cloud environment
• Design and implement performant services for rapid growth with low operational overhead
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design systems for Ads use cases
