Job summary

Apple is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join Advertiser Services. You will help design and scale microservices and data-driven platforms that power ads across App Store, Apple News, Stocks, and Apple TV, collaborating with a global, agile engineering team.

The role demands strong CS fundamentals, proficiency in Java/Scala/C++, experience with relational and NoSQL stores, and cloud familiarity with AWS or GCP; you will tackle complex systems and deliver reliable, privacy-respecting

Qualifications

• 10+ years building scalable microservices or data platforms.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with Java/Scala/C++ or equivalent.
• Expertise in relational datastores (e.g Postgres or Oracle).
• Expertise in NoSQL datastores (e.g Cassandra or DynamoDB).
• Proficiency in data processing technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• Experience crafting scalable micro services.
• Familiarity with cloud paradigms ( e.g AWS or GCP ).
• Proven ability to work on sophisticated problems and systems
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.
• A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
