Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Developer-SME for a large, 200+ person program supporting sponsor web-based applications. You will collaborate with a broad team of developers, DevOps, security, systems, and data engineers, primarily focusing on backend work with full-stack awareness.

The role requires 6–10 years of backend development experience and includes an on-call rotation after a one-year onboarding period. Core hours are 9 AM to 3 PM, five days per week, for a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• BS degree with 8+ years experience; degree may be substituted by equivalent experience.
• Strong Java programming skills and Java Persistence API experience for complex database schemas.
• Java web services experience (JAX/WS) and Linux CLI proficiency; Agile team experience; Spring Framework/Boot knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services as part of a large cross-disciplinary team.
• Be on-call for a one-week rotation after onboarding.
• Address system issues during off-hours; core hours are 9 AM–3 PM, five days a week.
