Job summary

Tandem Diabetes Care Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer I to design, develop, test, and document modern web applications using best practices. You will work independently to identify improvements, implement automated tests, and contribute to product quality.

Responsibilities include translating requirements into design, conducting unit/integration tests, mentoring juniors, and supporting HIPAA/privacy compliance in a fully remote role across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in cloud or web application software development.
• Expert knowledge of C# and .Net Core.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing containerized micro-services.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines that deploy containerized services to Kubernetes via Helm.
• Experience utilizing SQL databases, such as SQL Server or MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, e.g., MongoDB or CosmosDB.
• Knowledge of REST API design and integration.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Independently designs, develops, modifies, and tests software units per corporate standards.
• Translates high-level requirements into software design and implementation.
• Develops, executes, and verifies unit and integration tests with the QA team.
• Performs code reviews and provides feedback to peers and junior engineers.
• Mentors teammates and contributes to training activities.
• Ensures compliance with Privacy/HIPAA and regulatory requirements with SME support.
