Frontify is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help shape a scalable, reusable backend platform. You will work with PHP, Java, Python, or Go, and contribute to SDKs, APIs, and shared services that empower Frontify's product teams. You will strengthen CI/CD, testing, and release practices while collaborating with product and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, secure software.

The role is remote from Switzerland with optional office time in St. Gallen.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in backend web application development using PHP, Java, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience building reusable libraries, SDKs, APIs, frameworks, or internal developer tools.
• Understanding of API design, automated testing, and backward compatibility (GraphQL/REST).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, build automation, dependency management, and release processes.
• Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain reusable backend libraries, SDKs, APIs, and shared services for Frontify product teams.
• Improve platform reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Strengthen CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and release practices.
• Collaborate with product teams to address recurring challenges with scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across teams.
