Job summary

Soda is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer focused on the backend that powers Soda Cloud. You’ll own Java services and AWS/Kubernetes infra, shipping features with PMs and customers in a fully remote, international team.

You’ll work on scalable backend systems, CI/CD, and agentic AI tooling to ensure data quality at scale. You’ll collaborate with a global team across 12+ countries, own production code, and push for robust observability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development in a product company.
• Strong proficiency in Java and API design.
• Solid SQL experience with MySQL/ClickHouse or similar.
• Experience on Kubernetes and AWS in production.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Ability to ship production code with AI coding agents.
• Fluent English and independent work style in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust backend services and APIs in Java for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Ship features end-to-end with product and customers, shaping solutions.
• Improve reliability, performance, and scalability of services on AWS/Kubernetes.
• Maintain CI/CD, GitOps, observability, and testing practices.
• Advance agentic development capabilities with AI coding agents.
• Drive architectural decisions from service design to platform evolution.
