Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Developer for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will design, build, and operate foundational backend platforms and shared services that enable other teams to deliver products with high throughput and low latency.

The role requires deep distributed systems expertise, strong platform-engineering instincts, and proven leadership across multi-quarter initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
11+ years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
Experience building and operating internal platforms or shared services.
Distributed-systems design with emphasis on consistency, availability, latency, and failure modes.
Proficiency in a major backend language (Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++).
Knowledge of high-throughput messaging/streaming (Kafka, Pulsar, NATS).
Experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives and stakeholder management.
Strong written/verbal communication; ability to author design documents.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate foundations and shared services used by multiple teams.
Develop backend platform capabilities with low latency and high throughput.
Lead platform initiatives across teams and communicate trade-offs clearly.
Mentor engineers and contribute to code/design reviews and onboarding.
