Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Orlando, FL (prefers in-office but remote Eastern US considered). You will guide backend architecture, drive delivery, and mentor engineers while building scalable Java/Spring Boot services on GCP.

You will lead cloud-native design, ensure high-quality code, and oversee CI/CD, testing, and observability practices. Strong leadership and deep cloud-native expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java software development experience.
• 5+ years of Spring Boot development.
• 3+ years on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on backend architecture and development using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful microservices.
• Design and deploy cloud-native, event-driven solutions on GCP with Cloud Run/GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership, code reviews, and enforce best practices within the team.
• Implement containerized deployments with Docker and automated CI/CD pipelines; ensure observability and reliability.
