Lead Software Engineer Location: Orlando, FL (Preferred in-office, but open to Remote - Eastern US)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Engineer and Team Lead to build scalable, reliable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role, you will remain hands-on while providing technical leadership, guiding the development team, and driving delivery from architecture and design through production support.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a hands-on technical lead, providing day-to-day guidance, mentoring developers, and driving successful team delivery.
• Design and develop scalable back-end services, REST APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Lead technical design discussions, establish development standards, and ensure solutions align with architecture and engineering best practices.
• Build cloud-native and event-driven solutions on GCP using services such as Cloud Run/GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring/Logging.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and component tests while containerizing applications using Docker and supporting automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing to ensure application observability, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to SRE/reliability practices.
