The role emphasizes high-availability design, data integrity for millions of device records, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Chicago hybrid work arrangement is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 5+ years of progressive technical experience with distributed features.
• Deep Postgres/AlloyDB optimization for high-concurrency workloads.
• Experience deploying and scaling microservices on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run).
• Designing robust service contracts for Python and Java microservices.
• Hands-on with Anthropic Claude for prompt design and log parsing.
• Strong understanding of fault-tolerant, high-availability architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architectural ownership for high-throughput device provisioning and lifecycle services.
• Own APIs for the Device Management Domain and coordinate cross-team integration.
• Groom product requirements into actionable technical tasks for parallel development.
• Lead database design and optimization of relational layers with AlloyDB and PostgreSQL.
• Architect and implement prompt engineering workflows for AI-powered provisioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct thorough code reviews to improve quality.
• Improve pipelines with guardrails, RAG systems, and AI coding assistants.
