Job summary

Avalore is seeking a full stack developer to support a backend team focused on middleware and backend services for our US Government client. The role emphasizes high performance data processing and robust back-end design.

Qualified candidates have an active security clearance with polygraph, at least 5 years of Java development experience, and hands-on work with Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark or HBase, plus Lucene/Solr query experience. AWS familiarity and tooling with JIRA/GitHub are a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.
• College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and HBase (prefer at least two).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on backend Java development, with code reviews, unit testing, and deployment to production.
