Job summary

Probity in Chantilly, VA is seeking a full-stack developer to join a backend-focused team building middleware and backend services.

You will design, implement, and deploy production-ready code using Java 8+ (planning upgrade to Java 17), Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Solr/Elasticsearch, and AWS services in a Linux environment. An active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark/PySpark.
• Hands-on Solr/Elasticsearch: indexing, clustering, schema changes.
• Data quality analysis experience.
• Regex (RegEx) proficient.
• Experience with several AWS services.
• Java 8+ development experience (Java 17 planned).
• Proficient with Jira and GitHub workflows.
• Spring Boot and RESTful API development.
• Linux (CentOS) administration and usage.
• Design, develop, and deploy middleware/backend to production.

Job Description:

Looking for a full stack developer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.

Mandatory Skills:

• Demonstrated experience utilizing big data technologies such as SPARK or PYSPARK.
• Demonstrated hands on experience in Solr or Elastic such as running an index, spinning up a Solr cluster and loading an index onto the cluster, and/or making Solr/Elastic schema changes, etc.
• Demonstrated experience performing data quality analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with Regular Expressions (RegEx).
• Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
• Demonstrated experience writing Java 8+ (we will be upgrading to Java 17 later this year)
• Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.
• Demonstrated experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
• Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems such as CENTOS.
• Demonstrating experience designing, developing, and deploying middleware and/or backend code to a production system
