Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a senior software engineer to own the Ventura OS infra stack. You will design, build, operate, monitor, and set standards for cloud services powering Ventura TV OS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across the platform.

As part of the Infra team, you will partner with application squads to deploy robust backend systems, implement security/compliance controls, and deliver tooling for engineers and partners.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience on cloud platforms or distributed systems.
• Experience owning a shared platform used by multiple teams is a plus.
• Strong fundamentals and ability to adapt in a large-scale environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, monitor, and set standards for the Ventura OS infrastructure services.
• Partner with application teams to design, implement, and scale backend services and infrastructure.
• Own identity, security, and compliance model for cloud services.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and cost while balancing availability and cloud spend.
• Deliver highly available build infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Own telemetry infrastructure from client ingestion to analytics reporting with governance.
• Lead migrations and adoption of new tools across the org.
• Maintain operational excellence: observability, SLOs, on-call, disaster recovery, runbooks.
