Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a senior backend infrastructure engineer to own and operate cloud services powering Ventura TV OS. You will design, build, and operate scalable systems, focusing on reliability, security, and cost efficiency across Kubernetes, databases, and identity services.

You will drive telemetry, observability, and automated tooling, while collaborating with product teams to meet demanding performance goals at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with cloud/distributed systems
• Experience designing and operating cloud services at scale
• Strong fundamentals and ability to work with diverse tech stack
• Commercial backend development: Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Go or C#
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Ventura OS cloud services infrastructure
• Design, build, operate, and monitor scalable backend systems
• Ensure security, identity, and compliance for services
• Deliver highly available build infrastructure and tooling
• Lead migrations and adopt new tools across the org
• Own telemetry infrastructure and data governance
