Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing software engineering organizations, including experience managing engineering managers.
• Strong background building backend infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience with highly scalable, high throughput, low latency, multi tenant systems.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and system design.
• Experience with Go, Java, or C++ programming languages.
• Strong technical leadership to guide architectural decisions and strategy.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing complex, multi-team projects and delivering quality software.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field; Masters/PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering organization responsible for building and operating Cadence workflow orchestration engine.
• Drive execution of multiple technical projects and initiatives from strategy and planning through delivery.
• Partner with engineering leaders to define architecture, technical direction, and engineering best practices.
• Develop engineering managers and senior engineers through coaching and career growth support.
• Contribute to an open source project used by many major companies.
• Improve onboarding, observability, reliability, and operability experiences for Cadence.
• Collaborate with the open source community, understand user needs, and help shape the future of Cadence.
• Define and improve engineering processes used internally and across the community.
• Build partnerships across engineering, product, and other organizations to drive alignment and execution.
• Establish and communicate a long term technical and organizational strategy for Cadence.
