Job summary

Veriff is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Verification Platform team in the United States. You’ll own backend services including the orchestration engine and automated decisioning pipeline that power Veriff's core identity platform.

You will help ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of flows used by thousands of users daily, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor teammates while advancing testing, CI practices, and runbook documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building large-scale backend applications with Python.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g. SQS).
• On-call ownership and reliability focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Veriff VP backend services and orchestration engine.
• Deliver orchestration features: multi-method flows, branching, webhooks.
• Improve resilience: backpressure, idempotency, tests, monitoring.
• Participate in on-call rotations and postmortems; mentor teammates.
