Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our global engineering team and build scalable backend systems that power our identity verification and fraud prevention products.

You will own backend services from design through production, work with Product, Infra, Data Science/ML, and Engineering teams, and help raise the bar on performance, reliability, and observability.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong coding skills in Go, Java, or a similar backend language.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and event-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and own backend services, REST APIs, and microservices from design through production.
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable application-layer systems.
• Work on distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, messaging, retries, and fault tolerance.
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Data Science/ML, and Engineering teams.
• Improve performance, reliability, observability, and engineering standards.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production troubleshooting.
