Coalition Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Underwriting team to design and build backend services powering cyber insurance decisions.

You will integrate security, insurance, and data to apply models and machine learning, collaborating with underwriters, data science, and other engineering teams. Responsibilities include building scalable APIs in Python/Go, implementing models for risk assessment and pricing, and maintaining observability with dashboards and alerts.

Qualificações

• Backend services built in Python/Go with testing in place.
• Experience with REST and at least one transport/format such as gRPC or GraphQL.
• Source control experience (Git or similar) and CI/CD familiarity.
• Deployment and operation in AWS or another major cloud.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python and/or Go for underwriting decisions.
• Integrate with statistical models and ML components to price and monitor cyber risk.
• Create dashboards and alerts for operational stability and incident response.
• Write robust unit and integration tests to support frequent releases.
• Lead small projects end-to-end and mentor engineers on medium-to-large initiatives.
• Contribute to architecture discussions balancing pragmatism, scalability, and decoupling.
