Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer Level 4 focused on backend development, data engineering, and API work. The role emphasizes building scalable systems with Python and FastAPI, designing PostgreSQL databases, and supporting high-performance integrations across mission-critical environments.

Required are TS/SCI with CI Poly, plus strong experience in backend development, data engineering, and API design.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
Backend development experience required.
Data engineering and API development experience required.
Experience with Python and FastAPI.
PostgreSQL databases design and indexing proficiency.
Proficiency in Elasticsearch.
Experience building high-performance API connections.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including analytics and large data sets.
Contribute to software component design including trade-offs and reuse.
Design, implement, and integrate software applications and tasks.
Apply engineering methodologies for development, integration, and production.
Ensure efficient delivery using standard processes and repeatable practices.
Mitigate risks, manage costs and schedule variance for large projects.
Review and test components and document results.
