Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer Level 4 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting mission-focused environments. This role emphasizes backend development, data engineering, and API work using Python and FastAPI, with PostgreSQL database design and high-speed data integrations.

The position requires active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, on-site work in Washington, DC, and a focus on scalable, mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
Backend development experience.
Data engineering and API development experience.
Experience with Python and FastAPI.
Experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases with efficient SQL and indexing.
Experience with Elasticsearch and high-performance API integrations.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including analytics and real-time components.
Provide input on software design, including trade-offs and reuse of commercial off-the-shelf components.
Design, implement, integrate software applications and perform software engineering tasks.
Apply engineering methodologies suitable for development, integration, and production environments.
Ensure delivery of capabilities using repeatable processes and industry standards.
Mitigate risks and manage large-scale, integrated software projects while controlling costs and schedule.
