The base salary ranges from $164,000 to $227,000, with bonus eligibility, equity, and benefits. Location is San Francisco, with on-call responsibilities as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development in production
• Leadership experience driving architecture and coordination
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of scalable web architectures
• Mentor engineers and foster team growth

Responsibilities

• Drive design and architecture decisions while mentoring engineers
• Lead multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional work
• Build robust low-latency backend services powering Trust and Safety
• Define platform architecture and provide technical solutions
• Collaborate with data, product, and analytics to ship impactful features
• Improve reliability and performance through observability and automation
• Evolve policy, experimentation, and ML integration capabilities
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response when needed
