Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking a Backend Developer in the Intel sector to design, develop, and maintain secure software applications and APIs. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph and U.S. citizenship.

You will work with Java and Python, build RESTful microservices, manage SQL/NoSQL databases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in software development.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.
• Proficiency in Java and Python with Spring Boot, Flask, or Django.
• Strong understanding of REST, GraphQL, and SOAP API styles.
• Experience with Postman and Swagger UI for API testing/documentation.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Git, and Agile/Scrum.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure software applications and APIs using Java and Python.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices; integrate third-party services as needed.
• Manage data storage with SQL and NoSQL databases; ensure data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to define requirements and deliver components.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and enforce security best practices in data handling and API authentication.
• Implement cloud services and APIs for cloud-native solutions as applicable.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements for existing applications and APIs.
