Job summary

Decca Recruiting LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Norwalk, CT to lead design and implementation of high-scale, serverless backend services using AWS, Python, and modern data architectures. You will own systems end-to-end from design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement with a focus on reliability, security, and HIPAA-aligned practices.

You will design durable workflows and APIs for B2C and B2B integrations, work with data teams to ensure data fidelity, and mentor

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Expert-level AWS serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Strong Python with TDD and clean design.
• Experience with B2C/B2B systems and healthcare data knowledge.
• Strong collaboration with SecOps, DevOps and analytics teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale, serverless systems in AWS.
• Develop durable, fault-tolerant workflows for healthcare processes.
• Create and evolve backend APIs for member and payer integrations.
• Write high-quality backend services with TDD.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring.
