Job summary

Push Security is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable Python services on AWS serverless infrastructure. This fully remote role lets you contribute from anywhere in the US, with a focus on reliability and performance as the platform grows.

You will own features end to end, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement robust testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python and a track record of building and scaling large production systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless architecture and infrastructure as code (we use AWS CDK)
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (we use PostgreSQL and DynamoDB)
• A self-directed, proactive working style suited to a remote-first environment
• You take ownership of features end to end, from initial concept through to production
• You keep users at the centre of your decisions, caring about how your work affects their experience.
• (Preferred) Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python on AWS serverless infrastructure
• Ship quickly with testing and clear documentation
• Review code and give constructive feedback to raise the bar
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and product leaders to turn ideas into reliable features
