LaunchDarkly is seeking Backend Engineers in the United States to design, build, and operate services powering reliable software delivery. You will work on APIs, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure, owning work from design through production.

We're looking for strong software engineers with experience in Go, Python, or Rust, and a track record delivering observable, maintainable services at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, testing, debugging, and API design.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and operate production services and APIs.
• Lead projects or meaningful components from problem definition through deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Support, and other teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Improve observability through metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and incident learnings.
• Own work end-to-end from early design to production.
