Snap Inc. is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable services such as identity and core persistence layers. You will collaborate across teams to translate product requirements into robust solutions that perform at scale.

You will test, debug, and ensure high-quality code while applying best practices for availability, security, and cost management. Proficiency in Java, C++, or Python, and experience with NoSQL/Redis, Kubernetes, and cloud services are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor software development experience or equivalent advanced degree
• Experience with distributed systems and backend services
• Experience with Java, C++, and/or Python
• Experience with NoSQL, Memcache/Redis, Kubernetes, or cloud services
• Ability to own medium-sized features end-to-end
• Understanding operational aspects and incident resolution
• Strong collaboration skills
• Aptitude for adopting AI tooling with critical judgment
• Willingness to learn evolving AI systems
