Job summary

LearnLux is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend systems powering our enterprise SaaS platform. You will tackle distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI-enabled features in a hands-on startup environment from Denver, with case-by-case remote consideration.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data partners to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions while maintaining high standards of ownership and execution.

Qualifications

• Hands-on backend engineering in SaaS environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and data security/compliance.
• Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python.
• Ability to work across product, design, and data teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and systems that support LearnLux’s enterprise SaaS platform.
• Design and work with data systems, including SQL databases, pipelines, and data warehouses.
• Run parallel AI-assisted coding sessions, refining plans while shipping across multiple threads of work.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure for reliability and performance, primarily on GCP (AWS experience welcome).
• Apply strong engineering fundamentals to ensure systems are secure, reliable, compliant, and scalable.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive engineering efficiency through automation, including AI-driven or agentic workflows.
